Harnessing the hues of a variety of plants, this hands-on workshop will explore ways to create vibrant, eco-friendly dyes.  Using yarn spun from the wool of Billings Farm Southdown Sheep, participants will be guided through the botanical dyeing process, transforming raw skeins into beautifully dyed yarns.  The class will include a discussion about growing, harvesting, and extracting color from plants including a Q&A session with the Billings Farm Lead Gardener. Each participant will leave the workshop with practical skills for home botanical dyeing projects and a colorful skein of yarn to use in their own fiber creations.

The session will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A. Materials will be provided.
