Join Us for An Evening to Benefit the Woodstock Vermont Film Series 

Step into Frida Kahlo’s world for a lively and immersive celebration following the Saturday, February 8 screening of Frida. Guests will experience the vibrancy of her iconic style with an evening as bold and spirited as Frida herself. 

The Soirée will feature interactive art, delicious food by Woodstock Inn & Resort’s Executive Chef Matthew McClure, specialty drinks, and music. Don’t miss this unforgettable fiesta inspired by one of art’s most enduring icons.  

Tickets are $75 / person or $65 / Billings Farm member. Tickets include the screening, light fare, and one complimentary drink. Cash bar available for additional beverages.

First time director Carla Gutiérrez uses Kahlo’s own words and artwork to craft a fitting tribute to the artist’s legacy. Focusing on both the persona and the artist, Gutiérrez creates an often-entrancing immersive experience that mixes Kahlo’s reenacted thoughts and recollections, with her paintings, archival footage, and personal photos. The filmmaker’s meticulous distillation of Kahlo’s creativity develops alongside a growing insight into the painter’s unforgettable personality and distinctive vision.
